Many questions have arisen regarding the future of the Modicon brand as a part of Schneider Electric's Telemecanique global promotion. Be assured that Schneider Electric is continuing to manufacture Modicon PLCs as you have known them for years. A key offering within the Telemecanique brand, these products - including Quantum , Momentum and Premium PLCs - will be marketed under the Modicon product name.
The Telemecanique brand also encompasses several automation and control product families that are familiar to you: Magelis HMI hardware, Altivar and Altistart drives and soft starters, control software (i.e., Concept , ProWORX and Unity ), networking and communications (i.e., Modbus and ConneXium ), and motor control products.
