Leuven is best known for its university, founded in 1425 and the oldest catholic university in the world. Currently, 24, 000 students are registered at the university, and 24, 000 natives live here. It can be said that during the academic year the population doubles. The presence of the students and visitors make Leuven a lively town.
The Leuven campus is located in the centre of Leuven. The newly renovated campus symbolises not only the close collaboration between Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and its parent university K. U. Leuven, but also the role that the School seeks to play in the knowledge region around Leuven. The Leuven campus has four large auditoria and several smaller auditoria, all with the most recent equiment installed.
