The qualification is aimed at managers working in a food or drink catering environment. It is also one of the qualifying criteria for those who wish to train others at foundation food hygiene level. Ideally you should already have an intermediate (level 3) food hygiene certificate and a good level of literacy and numeracy. Arrangements are in place for special needs.
