The Boiler MBA
The Boiler a MBAa
(Manage Boilers Actively) Seminar
FACT =>Tube failures, resulting from erosion, corrosion, short term overheating, fatigue, long term overheating, or manufacturing defects may be considered the most common source of water-tube boiler downtime.
FACT =>It is generally acknowledged that a single tube failure, requiring an estimated four days of repair work, can result in

Plant Life Management - Ageing Degradation Mechanisms
Ageing is not about how old your equipment is ita s about what you know about its condition, and how thata s changing over time.
Beginning with the fundamentals, the objective of this series of seminars is to provide practical information regarding materials degradation and the consequences for ageing plants.
a To extend maintenance period.
a To mitigate potential failures

Risk Based Inspection

Its utility is based on the rough premise that 10% of the equipment in a process contributes 90% of the risk. Consequently, if this 10% of the equipment can be identified, testing and inspection can be focused on it rather than low-risk items. This approach is clearly preferable to the usual method of treating all equipment equally, regardless of its risk contribution.

Corrosion damage assessment for risk based inspection Part 1

This corrosion module aims to provide the participants with an understanding of why and how corrosion occurs, the metallurgical and environmental factors influencing corrosion, and practical methods of corrosion control. Participants will be able to grasp the basic concepts related to corrosion, metallurgy, and to apply the knowledge in their workplace.

Plant degradation mechanism for aging plants an essential skill for Risk Base Inspection

As operating pressure plants age, premature leaks or rupture are increasingly likely. Mechanisms such as corrosion, creep, fatigue, the possibility of cracks emanating from damaged areas could lead to dramatic consequences.
It is fundamental to understand degradation mechanisms, their likelihood of occurring in the facility and the impact that they may have on the facility.

A systematic Approach to Failure Analysis

Have you ever been handed a failure investigation and were not quite sure all the steps required to complete the investigation? Did you had to review a failure investigation and wondered if all the aspects had been properly covered? Or perhaps you read a failure investigation and wondered what to do next? Learn the steps to organize a failure investigation and ensure success.
