Fundamentals of Vibration for Test Applications


This short course covers a wide range of topics associated with vibration and shock applications. The theory of dynamics is covered, including displacement, velocity and acceleration. Various types of vibration exciters (shakers) are discussed. Random vibration theory, test fixtures and vibration measurement are discussed, also vibration testing and mechanical shock.

Modal Analysis for Structural Validation


This short course teaches an experimental approach to understanding and determining the magnitude of vibration and modal characteristics of a structural system in its operating conditions. In the experimental method, the structure is excited by applying forced vibration and measuring the responses, from which the vibration modes are determined and a structural model developed.
