Boardroom Dancing: How to Lead and When to Follow
This workshop is designed for board members and executive directors, and covers the full range of strategic and practical elements necessary for successful nonprofit boards. We ll address the roles and responsibilities of the board, changing board roles, board composition and diversity, recruitment, creating and working with committees, and evaluating your board. We will also cover financial responsibilities of the board, governance in a crisis, boards and fundraising, hiring, evaluating, and firing executive directors, legal liability of board members, running effective meetings and retreats, removing a board member, the board-staff partnership, and why boards don t govern.
