Using the Grimmes' "POSTAL" formula for violence prevention (and applying it in numerous real-world case studies), participants will learn how to detect the Profile, Observable warning signs, Shotgun (i.e., weapons access), and Triggering events of workplace violence - both in prospective and current employees and in customers. Anger defusing techniques, the role of organizational culture, and the need for appropriate policies, procedures and crisis management planning also are covered.
