Students will be able to describe research on parent involvement: * Research on parent/family involvement * Research on the changing family/structure * Research on resiliency and child development * Students will be able to describe and apply strategies for: * Understanding the legal issues of working with parents * Understanding advocacy issues in working with parents This course is designed as one credit hour or 15 hours of professional development. Check with the institution to be sure if credit is offered for this course. |
| The student will take an objective-based post exam consisting of 10 to 15 multiple choice and true or false questions. A score of 85% or higher is considered successful completion of the course. |
