This course continues where our introductory course leaves off. Our introductory course covered all the basic tags and covered topics such as creatings lists, creating links and placing images on your web pages. In this 5 week advanced HTML course, you will study changing the color of text, changing the color of a web page`s background and using an image for the background.
In this course you will also create basic and advanced tables. Tables are great for summarizing large amounts of information and for structuring data. This course will teach you how to add a table to your web page. Frames are also becoming increasingly popular and a whole week is devoted to creating multiple frames on a web page. Finally, we conclude this course with an extensive look at forms. One of the most powerful parts of a web page is the form. In general a person fills in the form and then submits it to you. After this lesson, you will be able to create your own custom forms.

The structure of each lesson is the same as that of our 6 week introductory course and is written by the same author, John Gilson. John`s many examples are clear and easy to follow. There are also many questions for you to answer and web pages for you to make up. All questions and problems come complete with answers and solutions so that you get immediate feedback on how you are progressing. By the time you finish this five week course, you will have a very firm understanding of HTML and in designing and coding your own web pages. This is the course to take if you desire to add to your knowledge of HTML.
Outcomes:
Upon completion of our advanced HTML course, you will:
*Be able to control the appearance of a web page with tags that affect color and by including background images. *Be able to design your own web page complete with tables, frames and forms.
Assessment:
This is a self-directed lite course. If you wish to be assessed, there is an assignment that can be completed at the conclusion of the course.
