Advanced Information Page Creation: Critique and Analysis
This course is designed for students who have taken a basic course in Search Engine Optimization or are at a level of advanced study. The focus here is on how to effectively create and write content specific to what the search engines want in the form of informational pages. This interactive advanced workshop will also focus on using "information pages" to further your ranking with the major search engines.
In four intensive weeks we will go in depth in the critique and analysis of several optimized "information pages" that have a proven track record for getting results. Students will learn to analyze and compare examples of working doorways and at the same time have their own individual pages critiqued. Chatroom and live weekly discussions regarding the theory and practice of building "information pages" help answer all your questions. Intense facilitator interaction will be the hallmark of this course.
Prerequisite for this class: You must have completed the basic workshop and or tutorial in search engine positioning, or have knowledge of search engine strategies and html. The class will be limited to just 6 students maximum at any given time in order to achieve the fullest, optimum results.

Advanced Critique and Analysis
Students will address application of information pages and sitemaps and analyze examples of "live" pages. Students will critique and discuss:
· What is the purpose and function of an information page?
· How do you determine what type of page you need and want for your business or service?
· How many pages do I need?
· What are the component parts of the Information Doorway Page?
· What applications have worked for me?
Investigation and Problem Solving
Students will learn other strategies beyond the simple page that can be applied to boost ranking. Students will continue to analyze and brainstorm to further increase relevancy on topics such as:
. Do you really need Meta tags?
· How many words should you use on your pages for content-rich pages?
· What do you do if your pages get dropped?
· What about hidden links and other strategies?
. How to make your pages more effective and competitive?
. What are the rules and regulations in dealing with the different search engines?
Continued Critique and Analysis--With emphasis on application.
Students will bring to this class their information page(s) that they would like to have critiqued by their fellow students for comments. All the principals and solutions that have been addressed in the past two weeks will be applied to the page applications. Potential problems and solutions will be discussed.
Fine Tuning Strategies
Fine-tune your pages for the last time based on the previous week’s discussion.
There will be more critiquing and analysis by fellow students with discussion of any unique concerns and problems that will arise from within each individual class.
