Provided by Online Training Directory
Comprehensive 10 week Visual Basic 6.0 workshop. Learn from a PRO!
In designing several applications using Visual Basic 6.0, this course will demonstrate the versatility of VB to help facilitate most projects related to Windows development, as well as, to help in personal programming endeavors. In the course, focus will be geared on learning proper development of friendly GUI screens, programming techniques, optimization techniques, and some graphics programming (algorithms, some animation). Terms and definitions will be given in as simplest form as possible. A final project will be done to link activities accomplished in the previous weeks.
This course will, hopefully, prepare participants for increased opportunities in the computer science realm! You may start the course at any time!!!

Application Programming using Visual Basic 6.0 (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced)
Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: A. Create GUI screens that are user friendly. B. Have a good grasp of what steps it takes to write VB applications (i.e. using controls, forms, classes, etc) C. Understand and implement what is needed to write optimize and efficient code. D. In time, to create applications that are capable of being distributed on a professional level to corporations, as well as, small businesses. E. Use what they know to help them in learning other ?visual? and Object-Oriented languages such Visual C++ and Visual J++, which are considered very high level languages that give you even more control, than VB, to create highly sophisticated applications, databases, and web pages to name a few.
Assessment
Student?s performance will be based on: 1. Ability of the student to demonstrate a grasp of VB concepts and terminology through programming assignments. 2. Performing satisfactorily on the tests given, as well as, the programming assignments.
