Students will be able to: * Describe each behavior reduction strategy. * Learn the function of challenging behaviors that are exhibited by students with disabilities. * Explore effective procedures to handle various challenging behaviors. * Examine the role of a teacher and the ethical use of behavior management. * Explain how collaboration with parents is planned. * Describe the steps needed for due process. This course is designed as one credit hour or 15 hours of professional development. Check with the institution to be sure if credit is offered for this course. |
| The student will take an objective-based post exam consisting of 10 to 15 multiple choice and true or false questions. A score of 85% or higher is considered successful completion of the course. |
