This course reviews the assessment process, rights and responsibilities of parents, as well as school district responsibilities. May be taken with companion course, LH 157.
Outcomes:
Students will be able to: * Understand the process of assessment of children with disabilities. * Become familiar with the rights and responsibilities of the parents of children who are being assessed. * Learn school distric responsibilities concerning the assessment of children with disabilities.
This course is designed as one credit hour or 15 hours of professional development. Check with the institution to be sure if credit is offered for this course.
Assessment:
The student will take an objective-based post exam consisting of 10 to 15 multiple choice and true or false questions. A score of 85% or higher is considered successful completion of the course.
