Lessons include adding and subtracting and multiplication and division. |

Students will be able to: * Take all areas of possiblility into consideration when determining learners' potential for adequate learning in the area of mathematics. * Plan an approach, include good assessment data which includes developmental skill levels, assess a determination of error patterns and of learning style, and create a classroom climate which promotes verbal risk taking within the group to ensure academic success. * Write a lesson plan for an effective lesson. * Teach the basic operation of addition and subtraction. * Teach the basic operation of multiplication and division. This course is designed as one credit hour or 15 hours of professional development. Check with the institution to be sure if credit is offered for this course. |

The student will take an objective-based post exam consisting of 10 to 15 multiple choice and true or false questions. A score of 85% or higher is considered successful completion of the course. |
