Living Online - IC3 Training Solution
| PIN code provided for this course allows unlimited on-line access for 90 days. This covers the skills outlined in the Living Online portion of the IC3 certification exam. In it, students will look at how computers affect our daily lives, the relationships among different networks (i.e., computer, telephone, and the Internet), proper "netiquette," and how to keep their computer data, hardware, and software safe. Specific skills will also be covered. These include browsing the Web, searching the Web for specific information, bookmarking favorite sites, using Web data in common applications, and many e-mail skills using Microsoft Outlook, such as composing, replying to, forwarding, attaching, deleting, and organizing.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: --Know how to protect their computer, their software, their data, and themselves --Identify the different types of networks and how they relate --Understand Web sites, pages, addresses, and browsers --Be aware of security, legal, and ethical issues with the Internet --Search the Internet and save Web information --Create, send, reply to, save, forward, and organize e-mails. |

Student performance is assessed by cumulative training time, number of lessons completed and, where tests are available, the percent correct. Many courses also have a pre- and post-test where the pre-test will automatically assign only the lessons needed to achieve course mastery.
