Full Description
PIN code provided for this course allows unlimited on-line access for 90 days. This covers the skills outlined in all three sections of the IC3 Certification Exam. The Computer Fundamentals section explains different computer types, common hardware components, and basic types and needs of software, as well as how software and hardware interact. It also addresses how to manage files and the Desktop. The Key Applications section covers the skills and functions common to Microsoft Windows applications. Some of the skills covered include starting applications; opening, saving, and closing files; accessing online help; formatting text, documents, and worksheets; performing common print functions; adding tables, charts, and graphics to documents or worksheets; modifying worksheet data; and sorting and manipulating data. The Living Online section looks at how computers affect our daily lives and how to keep computer data, hardware, and software safe. Skills covered include browsing the Web and bookmarking favorite sites, as well as composing, replying to, forwarding, attaching, deleting, and organizing e-mail.


Outcomes:

Assessment:
Student performance is assessed by cumulative training time, number of lessons completed and, where tests are available, the percent correct. Many courses also have a pre- and post-test where the pre-test will automatically assign only the lessons needed to achieve course mastery.
