This course introduces the basic features in Windows Millennium Edition by teaching necessary skills like using the mouse, working on the Desktop, using windows, operating the Start menu and Taskbar, navigating in Windows Explorer, and using some of the included accessories.
This course introduces students to the basic features in Windows Millennium Edition.
This course will teach necessary skills like using the mouse, working on the Desktop, using windows, and operating the Start menu and Taskbar.
The course also includes lessons on customizing the Desktop using background colors, Web content, screen savers, and Desktop themes. The students will also gain an understanding of Windows` file system, including how to use Windows Explorer. In addition, this course covers how to use Windows Help program which now has an updated, Web-like appearance.
Students will work with accessories like the calculator, games, and the Maintenance Wizard, and they will also learn how to use both the WordPad and Paint applications. Finally, the course will walk the students through formatting disks, printing documents, and shutting down the computer.

Assessment
Student performance is assessed by cumulative training time, number of lessons completed and, where tests are available, the percent correct. Many courses also have a pre- and post-test where the pre-test will automatically assign only the lessons needed to achieve course mastery.
