This course is designed to familiarize students with the intermediate features of Microsoft Word 2000 so they can enhance the look of their text-based documents with the addition of symbols, tables, and graphics. Real-life scenarios will make the lessons more applicable to users, while performance-based activities will engage them in hands-on learning. Several skills students will learn include applying borders and shading; using headers and footers; tabs and styles; using, modifying, and inserting graphs; and creating tables.

Assessment
Student performance is assessed by cumulative training time, number of lessons completed and, where tests are available, the percent correct. Many courses also have a pre- and post-test where the pre-test will automatically assign only the lessons needed to achieve course mastery.
