This course is designed to introduce amateur photographers and interested business users to the basics of digital imaging. Students will work with basic Adobe Photoshop Elements features, learning skills such as selecting areas of the images and sharing images online.
This course is designed to introduce amateur photographers and interested business users to the basics of digital imaging. To accomplish this, students will look at how digital cameras create digital images; advantages and disadvantages of digital imaging; basic digital camera features; how to capture, view, and delete images with the camera; and how to download pictures from the camera directly into the computer.
Students will also work with basic Adobe Photoshop Elements, doing things such as opening and naming images, selecting areas of images, zooming, cropping, correcting red-eye, printing images, and sharing them online.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: --Understand digital cameras --Capture images with a camera --View and delete images on a camera --Download images from a camera to a computer --Work with Adobe Photoshop Elements
Assessment
Student performance is assessed by cumulative training time, number of lessons completed and, where tests are available, the percent correct. Many courses also have a pre- and post-test where the pre-test will automatically assign only the lessons needed to achieve course mastery.
