Course description -- Your team may just be forming, or you may be renewing your goals for the coming year. You may have just gotten a new team member or even lost a few. This course will take you through the various stages of a teama s development and give you Strategies and Tips for guiding your team successfully through the process. You will learn how to recognize and respond to your teama s needs and help your teammates work together to build a successful and effective team. | Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: -- Create a clear vision of team success. -- Clarify the meaning and purpose of teaming. -- Set team effectiveness goals. -- Guide the team through development phases. -- Establish a foundation in forming. -- Manage team conflict through storming. -- Encourage productivity in norming. -- Attain excellence in performing. -- Seek closure in concluding or renewing. -- Empower the team to achieve results. -- Ensure the right technical skills mix. -- Enhance interpersonal and teaming skills. -- Recognize and reward team accomplishments. |
| Each course ends with a 20-question test made up of 10 true/false questions and 10 multiple-choice questions. If the Student achieves a 70% or higher on the test, then the training allows them to print out a Certificate of Completion. This test may be taken as many times as the Student wants during the licensed, on-line access period. No other testing or tracking is provided and, due to the personal nature of some of the skills tested, these scores are not recorded or tracked (besides the student themselves being able to print the certificate if they score >70% on the optional test). The test is not required to complete the course, but is an option, chosen at the student's discretion, should they desire to attempt to gain the Certificate of Completion. |
