Course description -- Some people can be difficult to work with. They never seem excited about their work, and they create a general atmosphere of negativity. So how do you handle them? This course will help you identify what it is that makes certain people pessimistic and what you can do to help them. It will identify strategies you can use for boosting self-esteem, morale, and turn negativity into positivity. Strategy 1: UNDERSTAND Negativity in Yourself and Others Tip # 1: Understand motivational needs. Use the STEP System to analyze motivation. Identify the motivator. Size up the challenge. Tip # 2: Recognize other sources of negativity. Self-esteem.
| Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: -- Understand negativity in himself and others. -- Understand motivational needs. -- Recognize other sources of negativity. -- Know how and why he experiences negativity. -- Neutralize employee negativity. -- Stay calm. -- Defuse anger. -- Build the employee's self-esteem. -- Plan a solution. -- Transform negativity into positivity. -- Build positivity. -- Practice positive thinking. -- Generate positive experiences. |
| Each course ends with a 20-question test made up of 10 true/false questions and 10 multiple-choice questions. If the Student achieves a 70% or higher on the test, then the training allows them to print out a Certificate of Completion. This test may be taken as many times as the Student wants during the licensed, on-line access period. No other testing or tracking is provided and, due to the personal nature of some of the skills tested, these scores are not recorded or tracked (besides the student themselves being able to print the certificate if they score >70% on the optional test). The test is not required to complete the course, but is an option, chosen at the student's discretion, should they desire to attempt to gain the Certificate of Completion. |
