STEP is a high school in a college setting where students explore hands-on careers, fulfill district academic requirements and have the opportunity to earn high school and college credit simultaniously. I am designing and setting up an enrichment course to accompany a traditional probability and statistics math course. The focus for the enrichment course is to allow students to apply their newly learned math skills by practicing and completing tasks that involve aspects from various medical careers and situations, such as lab tests or genetic probabilities. I am searcing for something that I could possibly purchase and use as a textbook or a support tool in the classroom setting. I am wondering what your guide might have to offer in the way of actual hands on learning situations and what your guide might offer as situations that pertain to probability and statistics math skills at the junior and senior high school level.
