This course will provide student with the knowledge and skills required to install, manage and administer Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (SQL) databases.

This course is design to help students master the concept of administering Microsoft? SQL Server 2000 (SQL) databases effectively. When a student completes this course he/she will be able to plan and complete a successful installation or upgrade, configure and tune SQL Server 2000 databases, manage users and security, automate basic database tasks, import and export data, use transact SQL queries, replicate databases for multiple and remote users, design a backup strategy, backup and restore databases, export query results as XML, use stored procedures, access SQL Server through Query Analyzer and register SQL Server databases remotely.

Outcomes Upon the completion of this course student will be able to design databases and perform several tasks such as backup, replication, recovery, DTS, data warehousing, perform tasks manually or automatically. Assessment There will be several quizzes for each module. After the completion of each module, the student will have to take and pass the quizzes before he/she can procede to the next module.
