| Using various online self-evaluation tools and tests, the student will develop a better understanding of their own personality and uncover/discover talents, strengths and interests that can translate to a variety of self-employment and/or work-from-home situations. The student will learn how to locate opportunities and market themselves. The differences between self-employment and various work-from-home opportunities will be discussed, as well as how to avoid scams. The student will fill out a questionnaire, receive a packet of materials customized to their interests, skills, and talents, and work on their own taking the tests and self-evaluations. The instructor will be available for discussions throughout this process. |
| Students will have taken the evaluation tests, done the exercises, made decisions and choices based on the results and registered on various freelancer job boards online. |
| Students will be able to decide whether working from home is the right choice for them and if so, how and where to market themselves. |
