Training Provided by Online Training Directory This course will build on basic knowledge of the travel industry and is designed for those who have completed Beginning Travel or who are considering returning to the travel field after an absence and would like a refresher course. A book fee of $65 is required to be paid in addition to tuition if this course is sold by itself. If this course part of the 5 course Travel Careers Training Program, there will be a $5 discount on the book.

Full Description

This course will build on basic knowledge of the travel industry and is designed for those who have completed Beginning Travel or who are considering returning to the travel field after an absence and would like a refresher course. Instruction will concentrate on developing and building skills in the areas of customer satisfaction, selling, reading and understanding tour brochures, international geography and ticketing. Informational resources available to travel agents, such as the Official Hotel and Resort Guide, and others will be introduced and explained.

Outcomes:

This course is designed to show you how to use the different brochures, reference materials and planning devices available in the travel industry.

Assessment:

In order successfully complete the course, the student will be required to: 1. Complete assigned course work and homework with a passing grade 2. Complete all assigned quizzes with a passing grade 3. Complete the midterm, tests, and final with a passing grade and as scheduled Evaluation: 80% Quizzes, Midterm, and Final Exams 20% Homework Grading Standards: A.....90%--100% B.....80%--89% C.....70%--79% D.....60%--69% Below 60% UNACCEPTABLE
