Students will be able to: * Learn and differentiate between alternate assessment strategies. * Know the seven criteria for assessment. * Understand the importance of technology in the classroom. * Go over instructional strategies for students with specific learning problems. * Learn adaption in the learning environment to accommodate students' individual needs and to give them the opportunity to progress in content areas. * Become familiar with the basic concepts of an Individualized Education Program (IEP). This course is designed as one credit hour or 15 hours of professional development. Check with the institution to be sure if credit is offered for this course. |

The student will take an objective-based post exam consisting of 10 to 15 multiple choice and true or false questions. A score of 85% or higher is considered successful completion of the course. |
