This course covers the following topics:

  • Creation and editing of parts, assemblies and drawings in SolidWorks

  • Top down and bottom up assembly design techniques with SolidWorks

  • Understanding change management in SolidWorks

  • Leveraging functionality in SolidWorks for configurations, families of parts, design re-use

  • Effective data management, including multi-user environments

  • Review of SolidWorks design case studies

  • Review of hardware, networking and training recommendations

 

Prerequisites

Students attending this course are expected to have the following

  • Mechanical/Industrial design experience
  • Experience with the Windows operating system
