Bloodborne Pathogens, an OSHA 1910.1030 compliance program, provides awareness training for industrial workers, emergency response teams, and anyone who is likely to encounter a situation in which a co-worker is injured. The course teaches workers to recognize HIV and HBV as hazards and how they can be spread. Workers will learn how to use Universal Precautions and to deal with a potential exposure, as well as modes of transmission, protection, emergency response, and exposure controls. This course features over twenty interactions and evaluations. Delivery formats include CD-ROM, LAN, WAN, Intranet, Internet. The course can be customized to meet your site-specific needs. It is currently available in English, but other language tracks can be added.
