First Aid
In this course, workers will learn basic first aid. They will learn what to do in the event of an accident and how to treat sprains and strains, cuts and blisters, minor burns, chemical burns and shock. They will learn to recognize the symptoms of a heart attack and how to treat a heart attack victim. They will learn how to distinguish between a simple fracture and a compound fracture and will know the correct procedure for treating broken bones. Workers will also learn how to protect against accidental poisoning and what to do if poisoning occurs. Delivery formats include CD-ROM, LAN, WAN, Intranet, Internet. The course can be customized to meet your site-specific needs. It is currently available in English, but other language tracks can be added.
