Good Manufacturing Practices: Pharmaceutical: Introduction TOPICS
This hard-to-find "Introduction to GMPs" is a multimedia CD-ROM course, which explains the twelve provisions of CFR 210 & 211 in a clear and logical progression with an expanded segment on "Documentation."
The course presents interactive instruction covering the following topical areas:
A. General Provisions
B. Facilities and Equipment
C. Manufacturing and Labeling
D. Laboratory Controls and Records
E. GMP Documentation
Each provision is introduced by a professional narrator with supplemental live video explaining each provision. Each informative video segment is followed by a multiple-choice quiz to ensure that the trainee has understood the major points of each provision. Should the trainee make a mistake in answering any question, the program will send him back to the appropriate video section for review. The trainee is also presented with a follow-up review retest of the topic that was missed.
Our multimedia course uses Multimedia Arts Productions, Inc. s popular video, "Introduction to GMPs," as its basis. The video has been incorporated into our multimedia CD format which allows trainees to use it on any PC computer with multimedia capabilities. It can be administered by trainers in a controlled environment or can be used at leisure at the trainee s office or home computer.
To help with documenting and tracking the trainee s progress, the course implements the proprietary Mastery Training Manager System which uses a unique identification number to automatically track each individual s progress through the course. The program retains the testing information, which can be printed out and added to the employee's training record for proof of training. The course can be taken in one sitting or can be administered in segments. The course tracks where the trainee left off and resumes at that point the next time they sign-on.
The Introduction to GMPs course is excellent for new-hires to develop a consistent basis for further GMP training or as a refresher course for veteran employees. This is a highly powerful training tool and a must for every Pharmaceutical Manufacturing GMP trainer.
