Developing New Skills
Many persons with disabilities need to acquire new skills and a broader repertoire of behaviors if they are to be successful living and working in the community. Course objectives for this module includ understanding of basic terms, knowledge of basic approaches to instruction and reinforcement of performance and productivity. Interactive learning experiences focus on task analysis and instructional sequenging, use of modeling, shaping and prompts, generalization and discrimination of behaviors and use of reinforcement.
