This course is the fourth in a series of seven on the Advanced Java Topics. This course introduces students to the Java Foundation Classes and shows them how they relate to Swing1 the Java 2 Platform and the Abstract Window Toolkit (AWT). Students will learn how to create effective user interfaces using Swing's pluggable look and feel capabilities enhanced versions of AWT components and many new GUI components like trees tables and tabbed dialogs.
