Description

This course provides an overview of E-commerce solutions and the considerations involved in designing and implementing an E-commerce solution with Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition.   The course makes students familiar with the features of Commerce Edition and takes them through the process of installing Commerce Edition.  The course also gives a detailed description of the two major components of Commerce Edition - Commerce Server and Ad Server.  In addition, the course prepares students to take the Microsoft Certification exam Designing and Implementing Commerce Solutions with Microsoft Site Server 3.0, Commerce Edition.

Audience

System Administrators, Help Desk/Support personnel, and Application Developers who plan, design and implement, manage or troubleshoot a Corporate Internet/extranet/intranet web site.

Prerequisites

The student should be familiar with internet/intranet/extranet terms and concepts. The user should also have an understanding of TCP/IP Concepts and Essentials, Web Server Technologies, and Windows NT 4.0 Server. In addition, the user should be familiar with the installation procedure of Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or a later version, and IIS 4.0 or a later version, and Microsoft Site Server 3.0.
