Description

This course provides students with the skills necessary to monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Microsoft Transaction Server.  This course familiarizes students with the various setup and network problems and enables them to take appropriate troubleshooting actions.

Audience

This course is intended for Technical Managers, System Administrators, and Help Desk/Support personnel, who focus on the installation and management of Internet Explorer in a Microsoft networking environment.

Prerequisites

An understanding of Windows NT 4.0 Server and Internet Information Server 4.0.

Objective

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • identify the use of the Event Viewer
  • identify the use of the MTS command-line utilities
  • add new servers to the Microsoft Transaction Server
  • configure a Microsoft Transaction Server computer
  • optimize server settings
  • refresh components
  • monitor transactions

  • verify the installation of Microsoft Transaction Server
