Description
This course introduces the student to the basics of T-SQL. It also covers the skills required to retrieve and modify data using T-SQL. The Implementing SQL Server curriculum prepares the student for the Microsoft Exam 70-029.
Audience
This course is intended for technical managers and application developers who implement a database solution with Microsoft SQL Server client/server database management system.
Prerequisites
An understanding of Windows NT 4.0 Server and Windows 95/98.
Objective
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

- retrieve selective data using the WHERE clause
- sort and store the query output using the SELECT statement
- summarize data using the GROUP BY clause
- display detailed and summarized data in a report using the COMPUTE and COMPUTE BY clauses

- modify views in the database using ALTER VIEW statement
