Description
This course is the first in the XML curriculum. It provides the students with an introduction to the components and features of XML. It also provides the students with the knowledge and skills required for creating XML documents and applications. Additionally, the students will be able to identify the use of XML in Internet applications.
Audience
This course is designed for application developers and system engineers who plan, design and implement Web-based business solutions on Intranets, Extranets, and Internets. This will also be useful for solution developers in integrating businesses based on a variety of vendor-specific protocols.
Prerequisites
Familiarity with Internet/Intranet/Extranet terms and conditions. An understanding of Web Server Technologies, with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or a later version, and text editors such as Notepad.
