Description
The VB6.0: Implementing Database Applications is the third course in the VB databases curriculum. This course teaches students to ensure security and multi-user access of a database through a VB application. The course also describes how to work with Visual Basic controls and reports.
Audience
Programmers and Application Developers who have experience in programming using a structured language like Fortran and Pascal constitute the primary audience for this curriculum. Additionally, the audiences also know basic programming using Visual Basic 6.0.
Prerequisites
An understanding of fundamental programming aspects of VB 6.0. In addition, the knowledge of various tools that are used to connect to a database.
Objective
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- list and manipulate the bound controls
- list and manipulate data-aware ActiveX controls
- create reports using Data Report designer
- add users and group accounts in a database
- assign permissions to user and group accounts
