Description

The Optimizing an SQL 7.0 Data Warehouse is the fourth course in the SQL Server 7.0 - Data Warehousing curriculum consisting of four courses. It helps students to identify tasks for data warehouse maintenance and optimization. The students will be able to optimize query performance, optimize backup and restore operations, and perform automated administration of a data warehouse. In addition, the course prepares students to take the Microsoft certification Administering Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 (70-019).

Audience

All System Administrators, Help Desk/Support personnel, and Application Developers who design and implement data warehouse solutions by using Microsoft SQL Server 7.0.

Prerequisites

Before taking this course, the user should be familiar with the relational database and data warehousing concepts and terminology and should have an experience in designing database management systems. The user should also have an understanding of Windows NT 4.0 Server and should have a knowledge of basic ANSI statements.

Objective

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
