Description

XEBEC: Presentations are opportunities - to communicate, to persuade, to sell, to gain commitment. But nerves and anxiety can make it hard to take real advantage of the occasion. The Effective Presentations Series takes a structured and down to earth approach to presentation skills that helps students build confidence and overcome their natural fear of public performance. The CD-ROM self study format allows students to learn the essentials in a risk free environment and to decide on their own path and pace. An extensive and detailed on-line glossary, along with quick and easy access to individual exercises and tutorials makes the series a natural reference tool.

Audience

The series is aimed at anyone who makes or is likely to make a presentation including, marketing and sales professionals, managers and team leaders, professional staff and people who represent the company to customers, suppliers and the industry.

Topics Include

Unit 1: Delivering Your Presentation

  • Delivering Your Presentation aims to help people get it right on the big day by exploring the effects of good and bad practice through graphics and video exercises. Students are encourage to analyse how they look and how they sound and, through the accompanying workbook, apply suggested techniques to improve their presentation skills. Interactive video exercises help students understand how to promote give and take with the audience through handling questions, using notes and understanding what the audience is feeling through their body language.

Hardware requirements:


  • 486 25Mhz CPU.

  • MS Dos 5.0 or later.

  • MSCDEX (Microsoft CD-Rom extensions) 2.10 or later.

  • Windows Version: 4MB Ram.

  • 4MB free hard disk space.

  • Super VGA card with 512k RAM.

  • MS Mouse or compatible.

  • Soundblaster compatible audio card and MPC compliant CD-Rom drive.

  • 16 bit Codec or the 32 bit Codec (installed during a normal course install). No MPEG course requires either Codec.
