Audience
This course series is for webmasters application developers and graphic designers with little or no exposure to Lotus Notes/Domino. Participants should have completed the first eight courses in this series.
Objective
- Identify the considerations for building a Web site and the procedure to set up a Domino Server a Virtual Server and a Virtual Host.
- Set up sitewide searching and domainwide searching on a Domino server.
- Set up certificate authority on a Domino Web site set up SSL and HTTPS on a Domino server.
- Identify the features of LDAP and set up LDAP on a Domino Server.

Unit 1: Domino Web Site Creating and URL Mapping
- Identify the considerations for building a Web site.
- Set up a Domino Web server by using Domino Administrator.
- Set up a Domino Virtual Server by using Domino Administrator.

- Complete the URL command for a given function.
- Set up URL mapping on a Domino Server by using Domino Administrator.
Unit 2: Domino Site Searching and Performance
- Set up site-wide searching on a Domino server by using Domino Administrator.

- Identify the benefits of the Domino command cache.
- Match the Domino cache strategy with its function.
- Configure the command cache on a Domino Server by using Domino Administrator.
Unit 3: Domino Web Site Security
- Match the security levels in a Domino Web site with their features.
- Match the database settings used to secure data on a Domino Web site with their functions.
- Set up Domino Web site security by using server settings in the server document.
- Restrict access to a Domino data directory by using Domino Administrator.
- Create a realm to secure a Domino Web site by using Domino Administrator.
- Set up a certificate authority on a Domino Web site by using Domino Administrator.
- Set up SSL on a Domino server by using Domino Administrator.

Unit 4: Domino Web Site: Advanced Features
- Identify the features of LDAP supported by Lotus Domino R5.
- Set up LDAP on a Domino Server by using Domino Administrator.
- Identify the features of CORBA.
- Match the components of the basic model of CORBA with their functions.
- Identify the advantages of using CORBA in a Domino server.
- Configure IIOP on a Domino Server by using Domino Administrator.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
