This is the sixth course in a ten part series for system administrators who are responsible for Domino server and Notes client. At the completion of this course students will learn how to identify the basic messaging concepts related to the Domino mail system set up SMTP routing and identify sample mail routing configurations; customize Domino mail system by setting up address resolution restricting inbound mail and outbound messages from a Domino mail system; and set up the POP3 and IMAP services and their users.

Audience

This course series is for system administrators who are responsible for Domino server and Notes client. Participants should have completed NETg course 13403 Lotus Domino R5 Development Part 1: Basic Concepts or have equivalent knowledge and have completed the first five courses in this series.

The CDROM version of this course requires:

  • At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
  • At least 8MB RAM.
  • At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
  • At least a double speed CDROM drive.
  • An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
  • At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
  • At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
  • At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
