This course teaches students how to use Dreamweaver 4. Additionally they will learn the basic and intermediate skills needed to create interactive Web sites using Dreamweaver.

The audience for this course includes End Users and Application Developers. Students should have basic knowledge of computer graphics HTML and Web-page design.

Unit 1: Dreamweaver 4: An Introduction
- Select the Dreamweaver 4 work area element that can be used for a specified purpose.
- Install an extension by using the menu bar.
- Define a local site by using the menu bar.
- Edit information about an existing site by using the menu bar.
Unit 2: Dreamweaver 4: Documents
- Set the properties of a document by using the menu bar.
- Modify text properties in a document by using the Property inspector.
- Insert an image with specified requirements in a document by using the menu bar.
- Insert a rollover in a document by using the menu bar.
- Insert a Flash button in a document by using the menu bar.
- Insert Flash text in a document by using the menu bar.
- Modify the properties of a Flash object by using the Property inspector.
- Insert a Flash movie in a document by using the menu bar.
- Insert audio files in a document by using the menu bar.
- Insert assets in a document by using the Assets panel.
Unit 3: Dreamweaver 4: Page Layout and Design
- Identify the tasks that conform to the page layout guidelines in a specified situation.
- Create a CSS style sheet by using the menu bar.
- Define styles in a CSS style sheet by using the CSS Styles panel.
- Insert a table in a document by using the menu bar.
- Modify table properties by using the Property inspector.

Unit 4: Dreamweaver 4: Navigation and Behavior
- Create links between documents by using the Property inspector.
- Create a navigation bar by using the menu bar.
- Attach a specified behavior to a page element by using the menu bar.
- Modify the behavior attached to an element by using the Behavior panel.
Unit 5: Site: Testing and Publishing
- Create a specified report on a site by using the menu bar.
- Generate a browser compatibility report by using the menu bar.
- Display the broken links on a site by using the menu bar.
- Set up a remote site by using the menu bar.
- Transfer files between a local site and a remote site by using the menu bar.
- Synchronize the files on a local site and a remote site by using the menu bar.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
