Macromedia Fireworks MX provides the tools for creating and producing web graphics and interactivity. It presents a single integraged web-centered environment. This course presents the concepts of adding interactivity including slices rollovers and image maps. The learner is introduced to the creation of basic animations and also how to export web graphics created in Fireworks.

Objective
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- create a slice object.
- identify methods for editing slices.
- create a simple rollover.
- find and replace an element using the Find and Replace feature.
- process files by using a batch process.
- identify features of the Export Wizard.

Unit 1: Creating Interactivity
- Create a slice object.
- Identify methods for editing slices.
- Create a simple rollover.
- Export a graphic as an image map.
- Create an animation symbol.
- Set a frame delay value for a frame.
- Identify methods for manipulating frames.
- Identify guidelines for previewing animations.
Unit 2: Task Automation and Exporting
- Find and replace an element using the Find and Replace feature.
- Process files by using a batch process.
- Identify features of the Export Wizard.
- Identify ways of exporting Fireworks files.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
