Unit 1: Background Information
- Identify the different levels of change.
- Avoid common misconceptions about change.
- Recognize how change benefits an organization.

- Simulation Overview:
- Each of the simulations allows you to practice the skills learned in the instructional content. You will enter realistic scenarios in which you will interact with a variety of individuals. By using the knowledge you have gained you control the outcome of each simulation.
Unit 2: Implementing a Change
- Identify the steps of the change process.
- Analyze a change situation.
- Prepare a plan for change.
- Implement a change.
- Monitor the progress of a change.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation your Director of Marketing is being promoted and the Marketing Manager has been chosen to fill the vacant Director of Marketing position. You are meeting with them and the Director of Human Resources to discuss the perceived effects the change will have on the department and its employees.
Unit 3: Monitoring a Change
- Identify why employees resist change.
- Manage the tension caused by change.
- Help employees avoid complacency.
- Eliminate the causes of complacency.
- Control a crisis.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation the Information Systems Department is implementing a new operating system. You are meeting with the Director of Human Resources the Director of Information Systems and the Special Projects Coordinator to address their concerns about completing the transition.
Unit 4: Setting Strategic Goals
- Understand the need for creative approaches to change.
- Encourage creativity in your employees.
- Develop commitment to change in your employees.
- Communicate change effectively.
- Control information in an organizational grapevine.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you have recently implemented a team-based sales strategy. Several employees are upset about being required to work on a team with access to only one product line. You are meeting with the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Sales to discuss the situation and identify a way to get the employees to commit to the strategy.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
