- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Dean Kramer Icon's Director of Information Services Caroline Harris Icon's District Sales Manager and Terre Jones Icon's Product Manager for the Video Conferencing Solution. As the Assistant Project manager for the VCS you have been asked to join the meeting to help identify why the team isn't making much progress. You will want to identify and address any conflict that is present within the team.
Unit 2: Clarifying Team Conflict
- Identify different types of team conflict.
- Identify the effects of destructive and constructive conflict.
- Establish behavioral differences between destructive and constructive conflict.
- Turn destructive conflict into constructive conflict in a team setting.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Terre Jones Icon's Project Manager and Technical Specialist for the Video Conferencing Solution Dean Kramer Icon's Director of Information Services and Caroline Harris Icon's Director of Sales. Recently the question was raised as to the extent of the services that should be offered with Video Conferencing Solution package. Dean believes that nothing should be offered beyond the rent of the equipment while Caroline believes that full service including on-sight support and professional facilitators should be added to the package. As the Assistant Project Manager for the VCS you need to help resolve this debate by turning destructive conflict into constructive conflict.
Unit 3: Addressing Team Conflict

- Arrange in the correct order the steps you must follow when resolving team conflict.
- Apply conflict-resolution skills when addressing a team conflict.
- Resolve team conflict by following the correct process.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Nathan Iverson and Carol Chung two marketing specialist for Icon. During recent deliberations it was decided that Icon intends to offer a full service package to its clients purchasing Icon's Video Conferencing Solution. As the Assistant Project Manager you Nathan and Carol have been asked to develop a viable marketing plan for the package. You will want to make sure unnecessary conflict to does not hinder the meetings progress by following the procedure to resolve team conflict.

The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
