  • In this simulation you will be meeting with Louis Scott one of Icon's Human Resources Assistants. Through your questions you will learn what signs indicate imbalance in your life what elements make up a balanced life and what obstacles can prevent balance in your life. You will also identify why you need to examine your priorities why you should be concerned about the stress in your life and why you should be concerned about time management.

Unit 2: Establishing Priorities

  • Differentiate among values needs and wants.
  • Follow steps to meet your needs.
  • Apply steps to establish your priorities.
  • Apply actions to make your daily life reflect your priorities.
  • Identify the benefits of living by your priorities.
  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation you will be meeting with John Cunningham one of Icon's Human Resources Assistants to discuss your priorities in your personal life and your professional life. Through your questions you will learn how to establish priorities how to make your established priorities reflect your personal values and how you can set the priorities for your life.

Unit 3: Managing Stress

  • Manage the sources of stress in your professional life.
  • Manage the sources of stress in your personal life.
  • Use communication to manage stress.
  • Implement lifestyle changes to manage stress.
  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation you will be meeting with Carla Jackson one of Icon's Human Resources Assistants to discuss your sources of stress in your personal life and your professional life. Through your questions you will learn how to address your sources of stress how communication can assist in stress management and how you can make changes to your life to help you manage your stress.

Unit 4: Managing Time

  • Use communication to manage your time.
  • Apply guidelines to improve your use of time at work.
  • Apply guidelines to improve your use of time at home.
  • Take actions to become more organized at work and at home.
  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation you will be meeting with Luis Encinias and Kristen Vaughn two of Icon's Account Executives to discuss the problems they are having managing their time. During this meeting you need to focus on helping them do a more effective job of managing their time at work and at home.

The CDROM version of this course requires:

  • At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
  • At least 8MB RAM.
  • At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
  • At least a double speed CDROM drive.
  • An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
  • At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
  • At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
  • At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
