  • In this simulation you will meet with Alexis Bell one of Icon's Human Resources Assistants as part of your ongoing professional development training. She will give you a series of exercises designed to identify your knowledge of memory and ways to improve your memory. Through her questions and your answers you will gain a better understanding of the models of memory and ways to improve your memory and your ability to recall information.

  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation you will meet with Monica Washington one of Icon's Human Resources Assistants. She will be giving you a series of exercises to identify your knowledge of your memory and ways you can improve it. Through her questions and your answers you will gain a better understanding of your memory and ways you can improve your memory to make you more productive.

Unit 3: Organizing to Improve Your Memory

  • Recognize guidelines for using your calendar effectively.
  • Recognize symptoms of information overload.
  • Identify how managing information prevents information overload.
  • Identify methods of organizing information that requires you to take action.
  • Recognize guidelines for filing information.
  • Identify guidelines for managing voicemail.
  • Recognize actions that can help you manage e-mail messages.
  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation you will meet with Patty Chen and Nathan Iverson two team leaders in the Product Development department at Icon. The three of you are meeting to discuss ways that your department can manage information and prevent information overload. Recently your department has been swamped by new information and demands and your employees haven't been able to meet the additional workload. Many employees have been neglecting tasks and forgetting to complete assignments which has caused problems for the whole division.

The CDROM version of this course requires:

  • At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
  • At least 8MB RAM.
  • At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
  • At least a double speed CDROM drive.
  • An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
  • At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
  • At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
  • At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
