- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Monica Washington a current engineering team member assigned to the Wee PC line of handheld computers. Monica has performed very well over the last six months even though the line hasn't lived up to expectations and you have recently promoted her to Engineering Team Leader. It is your responsibility to help Monica through the appropriate process of learning her new role in the organization.
Unit 2: Establishing Employee Priorities
- Identify guidelines for helping employees align their priorities with the organization's needs.
- Help an employee align his or her priorities to fit the organization's needs.
- Identify guidelines to use when evaluating employee performance.
- Apply guidelines for evaluating employee performance.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Bruce Madison a current member of the Wee PC engineering team. Bruce is an excellent engineer but other members of his team have called his work on the Wee PC line into question. You need to meet with Bruce to establish what his priorities are and how those priorities affect the Wee PC line's performance. To do this you need to evaluate his performance provide him with appropriate feedback and assist him in aligning his priorities to fit Icon's needs.
Unit 3: Employing Motivational Strategies
- Identify guidelines to use to motivate employees.
- Motivate employees by applying appropriate guidelines.
- Identify ways employees' jobs can hinder motivational strategies.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Nancy Hurst and Ronald Spear the two current marketing team leaders for the Wee PC line of handheld computers. Since the bulk of the responsibility for the Wee PC line's performance rests on the marketing department Nancy and Ronald serve essential roles. As the handheld computers continued to sell at a lower level than expected the marketing department became less motivated and more apathetic toward the product line. It is your responsibility to help Nancy and Ronald overcome their apathy and to motivate them to take the necessary steps to improve the sales of the Wee PC line.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
