Unit 1: Essentials of Cyberspace
- Identify four factors that make enforcing the law in cyberspace difficult.
- Identify common cyberspace offenses.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Jessica Stone Legal Counsel for Icon's Internet operations. As a newly hired Web Marketing Assistant your meeting is standard procedure and provides employees an opportunity to review basic legal issues in cyberspace. Jessica will ask you a series of questions designed to reinforce your understanding of the subject and prepare you to deal with the issues as they relate to your new position.
Unit 2: Conducting Business in Cyberspace
- Choose established cyberspace regulations.
- List the disadvantages of advertising over the Internet.
- Identify methods of advertising in cyberspace.
- Identify regulations used to govern e-money.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Roger McAllister Icon's Web Services Manager. You are a Marketing Assistant with Icon who has been assigned to work on the organization's latest e-commerce initiative. Roger will ask you a series of questions to confirm your understanding of the various laws and regulations associated with conducting business on the Internet as well as appropriate advertising strategies and general Internet etiquette.
Unit 3: Employment in Cyberspace
- List the benefits of Internet recruiting.
- Identify ways to conduct lawful Internet recruiting.
- Choose the federal employment laws that pertain to telecommuters.
- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation you will meet with Robin Carlson Icon's Director of Human Resources. You have been put in charge of leading an Internet recruiting project to hire telecommuters for Icon. Robin will ask you a series of questions designed to test your understanding of lawful Internet recruiting practices and how federal employment laws apply to telecommuters.

Minimum Requirements
The CDROM version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
- At least a double speed CDROM drive.
- An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
- At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
- At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
- At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
