This is the first course in a two part series which covers the same material as the first half of the Instructor Led course Oracle Designer 6i: First Class. The course takes students along a streamlined path through the Oracle Designer development environment. It covers recording business requirements into the Repository including process modeling entity relationship modeling and function modeling. This course is part of an Oracle integrated curriculum and forms the core course to all the Oracle Designer courses.

Audience

Targeted audiences for this course are: Business Analysts; Project Leaders; Designer/Developers; Web Application Developers; Data Administrators and Database Administrators. There are no prerequisites for this course.

  • Identify the checks that need to be applied to the work of the analysis phase.
  • Perform the steps required to create a quality-check report using Oracle Designer Repository Reports.

Minimum Requirements

The CDROM version of this course requires:

  • At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
  • At least 8MB RAM.
  • At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
  • At least a double speed CDROM drive.
  • An MPC compliant sound card with attached speakers or headphones is recommended (Currently only the CDROM version supports audio).
The network version of this course requires:
  • At least a 486DX 33Mhz CPU.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse.
  • At least 8MB RAM and 22MB available hard disk space or file server space.
  • At least VGA graphics capability with a minimum 512K video RAM (1MB video RAM recommended).
